Levels of Success
Track your progress through each of the 6 levels of success. My Private Flute Instruction course curriculum is outlined below to provide direction and incentives to the students in my flute studio.
Level One
Explorer
The level one Explorer will be required to complete the following:

Scale Test: Major Scales Two Octaves up to 4bs and 4#s (from memory)

Student must also perform in at least one public or video recital
Level Two
Instrumentalist
The level two Instrumentalists will be required to complete the following:​

Scale Test: Chromatic Scale from lowest to highest note from memory & demonstrate an understanding of relative minors in harmonic, melodic and natural forms

Student must perform in at least one additional public or video recitals and audition for all regional/all county bands
Level Three
Performer
The level three Performer will be required to complete the following:

Rubank Selected Duets (Easy-Medium 36-76)

Musical Postcards by Mike Mower (or an equivalent world or jazz book)

Trevor Wye Omnibus Edition p. 5-27 & 98-111
-
Scale Test: Major and Minor Arpeggios

Performance: Student must perform in two public or video recitals solo and participate in one competition.

(It is expected that the Performer would advance to 45 minute lessons per week.)
Level Four
Soloist
The level four Soloist will be required to complete the following:

Trevor Wye Omnibus Edition: p. 137-150, 163-173,

Scale Test: Expressive Major and Minor Scales (memorized)

Performance: Students must perform on two public or video recitals a solo and participate in one competition.
Level Five
Artist
The level five Artist will be required to complete the following:

The Flute Scale Book: A Path to Artistry p. 50 practice plan level 4

Trevor Wye Omnibus Edition p. 174-180, 183-189
-
Rubank Selected Duets Advanced or Classic Duets for the Flute

Scale Test: Major and Minor "Monster" Scales from memory
-
Performance: Student must perform in two recitals, one solo piece with and one without piano.
Level Six
Virtuoso
The level six Virtuoso will collaborate with Mrs. Rundlett to work towards desired special projects goals such as:

a one hour solo recital, MTNA solo competition preparations and college audition preparations.

All pieces and projects will be carefully selected to showcase the students special interests and abilities.

It is expected that the student will be advanced to one hour lesson per week.
